Very comfortable and well equipped cottage with everything you would need. Made to feel very welcome and nothing to much trouble. Great walks locally or just a short drive away. Would highly recommend.

The cottage has everything you need and is in a perfect location to enjoy beautiful walks. The owners were friendly and welcoming. The balcony off the bedroom is lovely with beautiful views. We took our dog and it was very dog friendly. There are plenty of pubs for meals and lots of wonderful villages are nearby. We will definitely return next year.

Lower score for comfort was because of the sloping ceilings. Kept banging our heads. Not enough outside space for our dog. Otherwise very happy. Clean, well equiped and in a lovely location.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Diddy Bones Barn and we are pleased you enjoyed your time here. Whilst the property is not advertised with outdoor space, apart from the panoramic balcony, we offer an area of our garden, for our "doggy guests" to carry out their business. We are surrounded by The South Downs National Park and Stansted Forest, which can be accessed from our garden gate and offers an abundance of walking opportunities. The accommodation is located in the loft of a timber framed barn, which has some sloping ceilings due to its construction; however the majority of the accommodation provides full height headroom.

After trawling through billions of cottages which really did not appeal, we came across Diddy Bones Barn. It was love at first sight and it certainly did not disappoLoved it. Fabulous location and beautifully presented. Lots to see and do, or simply just chill. Would definitely recommend this little gem.

A lovely retreat but not for those over 5ft 9" ! as this accommodation is above a garage and built into the eaves it is not really suitable for anyone who is not a little vertically challenged. Well furnished and comfortable overall but the height issues deflected from the overall experience.

Best self catering for cleanliness, equipment etc. I've ever stayed in. Would have found an analogue clock with a second sweep hand in the kitchen useful.

We had a wonderful much needed holiday at Diddybones barn. We explored many local walks and found 4 beautiful old open empty churches to sing in! What a bonus! Shame the sculpture park a bit further away wasn't ok with dogs, it wldve been helpful to have known that from their advertising. But West Wittering, Raymonds Castle, Chichester all worth a visit. We felt very welcome in Forestside. Lgbt friendly for sure. Sarah and Bruce are great hosts, exactly in the right place for the job! Any problem or question was sorted or answered promptly... Including a broken oven!!!

Good place to stay if you have a dog. Not really a cottage more a loft conversion but the views and forest access are outstanding! Bed very comfortable. Only one warning: MIND YOUR HEAD. If you are over 5ft tall you will have to walk around with a lean. Wi-fi is iffy to non-existent so download anything you need on your tablet before you arrive. Only discovered the books on the last day. Victoria Inn at West Marsden is well worth a visit.
