This is a very nice cottage and Mike Oldfield is a very genial and unobtrusive host. The standard of cleanliness is excellent and the fittings and fixtures very good indeed. Plenty of crockery and cutlery (for 4) and lots of local information provided. There is very little ability to cook, and no conventional oven - but that was made plain in the spiel on the website as was the lack of a dishwasher. WiFi was welcome, we did not used the games room as we were out all day and every day enjoying the good weather, but it is a nice addition. The local amenities are good, the food in the pub over the road excellent. The noise from the A12 is a little intrusive but the cottage is immediately at the side of the road so this is something which has to be put up with and after a while you get used to it. The bed in the main room is very hard and the two singles are probably in need of replacement, but the rooms themselves are spacious with lots of storage. Overall, excellent, we would stay again without question.

Had great time here in late October lovely and cozy nice little personnel touches around the cottage . Table tennis was also very welcome addition. Only Criticism we have and this is our view is that the bed in the main bedroom is very hard and the wifi is non existent .

Lovely character cottage which has been renovated to a high standard and is very well equipped. Yoxford has a good village shop, a café and pub/restaurants, and is a convenient location for all the East Suffolk tourist attractions.
