A lovely cottage in a beautiful location, typical of the standards of cottages at which we have previously stayed. Lovely owners who were very helpful and able to overcome the problems we had initially. We would have liked to have had more time to speak with Doctor and Mrs Williams and we enjoyed the opportunity to meet the Icelandic sheep. If we had only been younger we would have enjoyed the great walking experiences of High Peak. Do visit the Old Hall Inn at Chinley which has a lovely atmosphere and is very busy.

A cosy, comfortable cottage with lovely views. Very quiet, but not far away at all from places like Castleton, Buxton and Edale.

A rustic cottage in the heart of the countryside. Not easily accessible in the snow/ice and not easy to walk to local amenities. The heating system is controlled by the owners who only use the heating for short bursts of time so not much fun for us as we had travelled from Australia for Christmas so wearing coats inside was pretty much the norm for the first week. The wood burning stove didn't give off alot of heat either. An ideal place for a base for those wishing to explore the surrounding area in the summer time. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes etc but I would recommend you take your own towels as the ones provided had seen better days.

Fantastic cosy little cottage, perfect for a few days (or more) quiet getaway. We were a group of 5 friends and very much enjoyed the comfort of the rooms, the living room with its stove and fully equipped kitchen. The terrace outside is a great added bonus for morning coffee with a view. The only thing to note is you need a car to get anywhere around (shops, pubs) except if you want to start a scenic walk - there are plenty of footpaths (and lovely sheep) on the doorstep. Would definitely come again!

The cottage was in a beautiful location the views from the bedrooms were stunning. The cottage was spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need included. It was clear that a lot of thought had been given to the guest's comfort. There were suggestions of where to eat locally which proved to be excellent.

Fantastic place, friendly owners. Lovely location with good views and walks from base. We visited with a baby and a toddler. Toddler enjoyed the garden and climbing the nearby hill. Plenty of room for baby cot and ensuite facilities made it easy. Would recommend.
