Description

Offering the best of both worlds with scenic seascapes and the breathtaking Preseli Mountains, a haven for walkers and cyclists.

Lying peacefully on the banks of the glistening River Teifi within extensive grounds and on a 91-acre working farm, these traditional, Welsh barn conversions (refs JUK, JUL, OAM and OFA) have been converted to a very good standard and offer a perfect base for a family or couples looking to explore the dramatic coastline and rugged mountains of west Wales. Conveniently located just 2 miles away from the charming, market town of Cardigan, Rosehill Farm is situated well off the beaten track and is surrounded by rolling terrain where horses, goats and lambs call home. On the approach to the farm, guests will be greeted with spectacular views of the River Teifi, which is famously renowned for its freshwater salmon and trout fishing, and superb water based activities including kayaking and sailing. Each cottage has been sympathetically restored to uncover much of its original charm and character, including exposed beams and stone walls, and traditional wood-burning stoves have been added to provide a wonderful ambience for those cosy nights in. Outside, guests can relax on their own private patio area, perfect for unwinding after a busy day’s adventure whilst watching the red kites and peregrine falcons soar over the magnificent scenery.
Close to the iconic Pembrokeshire National Park, guests can ramble the majestic Preseli Hills and discover picturesque walks and ancient monuments, including the Bronze Age burial chamber of Pentre Ifan Dolmen, which stands beautifully in rugged terrain. The nearby market towns of Cardigan, Newcastle Emlyn and Carmarthen are all rich with Welsh culture and offer a selection of traditional pubs, boutique and antique gift shops, along with some restaurants waiting to be explored. The magnificent coastline is just a short drive away and is home to golden beaches, horseshoe coves and the pretty coastal towns of Newport, New Quay and Aberaeron, which are set in tranquil fishing harbours where bottlenose dolphins and seals can be spotted on a clear day. For an interesting day out, take a scenic drive to Britain’s smallest city of St David’s and discover its 12th-century cathedral and medieval ruins of Bishops’s Palace, or take a sea safari around the off-shore island of Ramsey, cruising close to seabirds, seals and the occasional dolphin. Shops and pub 2 miles.

The property was amazing and the views were incredible. Nikki and her daughter were very welcoming and took time out to ensure we had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed every minute and the dogs loved the open space. The cottage was cosy and was equipped with everything you needed. Views of the lake was amazing and very picturesque. Would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing, refreshing time away. We will definitely be returning. We stayed in the deri which accommodated 3 kids 2 dogs a mother in law and 2 adults.

In an absolutely spectactular setting beautiful surroundings clearly all the previous reviews have been taken on board an actioned, my brother and family came over from the usa they were absolutely besotted with the cottage and its magnificent surroundings . The owners couldnt be more welcoming to us. We all hope to spend many more holidays there. One small thing the downstairs wet room floor needs to be resolved so the water doesnt pool possibly an extractor fan needs to be added though this maybe difficult with the listing of the building.

Location was lovely. Great place to stay if you want to bring you dog, with amazing river view. Upstairs bathroom is not the best place to have a nice shower after a long day.
