The only complaint we have is the 2 weeks went too quick.... everything else was perfect.

An excellent cottage which is very spacious and mainly on one floor. It is well furnished, equipped and spotlessly clean. The garden is very enticing and looks out on to beautiful countryside. There is a quite busy village main street at the front but this does not impinge on the tranquility of the rear garden. There is a fine bakery nearby (run by the owners) and a general store which sells most things. There is a good choice of pubs and places to eat. The cottage is an ideal place from which to to explore the magnificence of Wasdale. The view down the lake to dark and brooding Great Gable is one of the finest views in the UK. I can highly recommend this cottage.

We had a lovely stay at Denton Rise. The house is very comfortable and clean (although the deco is quite old fashioned, but no big deal). the games room and Nintendo consoles certainly kept the kids entertained and us adults enjoyed the lounge and the fire place. Would have been nice to have a bath after long days walking but shower was clean and hot enough. The bedrooms were comfortable and kitchen well equipped; although the dishwasher shelf kept falling off but hopefully that is sorted now! Gill the owner was very helpful and welcoming. There is an extra charge for using the wifi, which we weren't aware of. Overall a great base; we would happily stay again.

Cant complain about anything Denton rise has everything you need. Gill the owner left some cakes on arrival nice gesture and has the bakery across the road which is very popular with fresh baked bread, cakes, pies and freshley made hot & cold sandwiches no complaints there. Definitely be back soon
