We had a lovely stay at Denton Rise. The house is very comfortable and clean (although the deco is quite old fashioned, but no big deal). the games room and Nintendo consoles certainly kept the kids entertained and us adults enjoyed the lounge and the fire place. Would have been nice to have a bath after long days walking but shower was clean and hot enough. The bedrooms were comfortable and kitchen well equipped; although the dishwasher shelf kept falling off but hopefully that is sorted now! Gill the owner was very helpful and welcoming. There is an extra charge for using the wifi, which we weren't aware of. Overall a great base; we would happily stay again.

Cant complain about anything Denton rise has everything you need. Gill the owner left some cakes on arrival nice gesture and has the bakery across the road which is very popular with fresh baked bread, cakes, pies and freshley made hot & cold sandwiches no complaints there. Definitely be back soon

Fantastic cottage in a lovely location. The place is huge, and had plenty of space for us all. Games room was fantastic. Beds are a little uncomfortable, and could do with better Internet, also the showers aren't very powerful but this is knit picking and that's not why we were there. Spent the week on the beaches and eating out at the lovely pubs. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely cottage. Had great fun in the games room. Gill the owner is lovely, we enjoyed our chat with her. Beautiful cakes provided on arrival and the best steak pies we've ever had from the bakery across the road. Lovely holiday.

Gill is a welcoming and informative host. Gill also makes exceedingly good cakes, pies, bread and owns the bakery just across the road. Denton Rise is spacious and has a large dog friendly garden although you would be advised to put a lead on first, as there is ranch style open fencing round the first part which also backs onto the adjoining car park. The entrance hall leads to fairly steep stairs taking you up to the cottage accommodation. These may be challenging for elderly guests. We live in a bungalow and so we felt much fitter at the end of our stay :-)
