Denmuir Arches is a beautiful farm building conversion set within the grounds of a working farm near Newburgh in the historic Kingdom of Fife. This luxurious detached cottage has been lovingly restored from the ruins of an old cart shed dating back to the 1700s. There are wonderful original features sympathetically combined with modern fixtures and fittings with an indulgent interior finish. The building has a traditional slate and pan-tiled roof over thick stone walls. The seven original archways, now glazed, have been retained allowing the building to be flooded with natural light. There are solid oak doors throughout. Downstairs has oak wood flooring and a fantastic hand crafted oak staircase leads upstairs. The first floor has coombed ceilings, small recessed windows with shutters and delightful cushioned window seats. Velux windows provide additional light. Three bedrooms have lavish en-suite facilities. The ground floor main living area is open plan with plenty of space for all the family to congregate. The large stylish kitchen has white units finished off with granite worktops. The kitchen has a dining area leading to an additional small sitting room. The main lounge, in the centre of the cottage, has the benefit of four glazed archways. It has a stone fireplace with wood burning stove and a second more formal dining area. Heating and hot water is provided from a state-of-the-art eco friendly geothermal heat recovery system with under-floor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs. Behind this lovely cottage are the ruins of the original farmhouse and outbuildings which are listed and date back to 1637. The present day farm is now organic with Aberdeen Angus cattle.
