‘‘Character cottages occupying a tranquil setting on Cornwall’s coast...’’

Situated in a tranquil hamlet just 6 miles from the coast, the cottages have been converted from barns dating back to 1824 and retain many original features. They are set in an enclosed courtyard garden, each with its own barbecue area.
Tregrill Farm is ideally located for visiting the whole of Cornwall, South Devon, Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor, with countryside walks accessible directly from the door. The stunning South Cornwall Coast, with its attractive fishing villages such as Polperro and Looe as well as the famous South West coastal path, is a short drive away. The fishing port of Looe can also be reached by taking the scenic train journey from Liskeard (2 miles). The maritime city of Plymouth is only a 30 minutes’ drive away with the National Marine Aquarium and its historic Barbican district. The fantastic Eden Project (10 miles), Cotehele and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are amongst the many wonderful Cornish gardens and historic houses which are within easy reach of Tregrill. The Rame Peninsula, known as Cornwall’s Forgotten Corner, is close by with picturesque villages and quiet beaches and Whitsand Bay which is popular with surfers is only 8 miles away. Watersports such as windsurfing, canoeing and fishing can also be enjoyed at Siblyback Lake (5 miles); Adrenalin Quarry and Karting are less than a mile away. For indoor activities the cottages share the use of a games room with an antique snooker table (for over 16s only), table tennis, darts board and hi-fi. Shop and pub ½ mile.

We recently had a two night stay at Tregrill Farm in Deco cottage. It was a perfect little get away, v clean and everything you could want for a retreat. Very friendly owners, greeted by Pete who was only too happy to help with, and a little surprise basket of goodies and milk was welcomed! Would definitely stay again, Thankyou!

We had a brilliant time at Deco cottage, the owners are so helpful, milk in the fridge and a box of goodies set the tone for the whole week. Weather wasn't great but that's the UK for you! We had a lovely time and would recommend it to anyone.

The cottage was beautiful, in wonderful surroundings. Unfortunately I booked the cottage thinking that because it had a ground floor flat that it would be suitable for me as I have a disability. For the majority of people car parking and gravel would not be a problem but with a stick I found it to be a little bit of difficult. (Deco parking space was the furthest away from cottage.) Also when wet the slate steps are quite slippery, which presented me with another challenge. I am sure these things can be rectified quite easily, along with changing the rail that leads down the steps as it is rotten and does not inspire confidence... I think it was more a case of me not doing my homework than anything else. I would happily recommend the cottage to more able folk than myself and ratings reflect only my personal experience and difficulties. Again to answer the question below, I would have to say 'no' in regards to my own safety expectations but the rest of my family were fine and it would be a big yes...

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for giving your time to leave us feedback about your experience of staying in Deco Cottage. We have replaced the hand rail and placed non slip outdoor mats onto the steps and we hope this will make things easier for future guests, and that your useful feedback has helped us improve what we offer. We are currently reorganising our parking and agree that it would be more sensible to have the parking space for Deco cottage nearest to the cottage garden entrance. As I believe I mentioned to you during your stay with us because we have a family member with mobility difficulties we realise the impact these things can have on your enjoyment of your holiday and we were very sorry that you found the physical environment unsuitable. We have detailed Accessibility Statements for each cottage on our own website which specifies ground and floor coverings, distances, steps etc. Unfortunately there isn't a way for us to make this information available on the booking website and so you didn't find this information, which would have been useful for you, before making your booking.

A lovely cottage, carefully converted and looked after by a very attentive family. You could see that your enjoyment of your holiday meant a lot and they were very helpful and supportive. A wonderful stay with our young children.
