The house is in an excellent position to access local attractions and eating venues, with walks from the door a definite bonus for us. We were disappointed in the level of cleanliness, with previous occupants hair in the drawers, a good coating of dust and talc over bath towel rails and household decorations. The corners of most rooms and skirting boards were very dusty and we felt that it needed a thorough deep clean. Having said that, we enjoyed our time in the house and the garden was lovely, with a variety of birds and wildlife visiting it, we enjoyed watching the rabbits through the patio doors one evening. If you like big fluffy towels take your own, as the ones provided were not large and could do with being replaced, in my opinion. We enjoyed an evening walk on Holy Island and saw a variety of wildlife, including seals. Also, the puffins on the Farne islands...worth a visit!

The 3 of us really enjoyed the week we spent in Bamburgh. The cottage was more than we hoped for in facilities, presentation, a very quiet location, and very close to the village. The Potted Lobster was a treat. The welcome pack was very well received and thoughtful. To cap it all the weather was great, considering it was early May. Yes we would certainly be back sometime.

Excellent location within easy walking distance of Bamburgh . Kitchen and sitting room needed some additional cleaning by us on arrival, otherwise rest of house was good. Lovely property with all necessary amenities and very quiet. Would definitely recommend this and will return ourselves .
