There for a weekend, in January, and everything was great barring the cold weather at nights. Fortunately there is ample heating if you leave it on long enough and the open fire is a godsend. House was what we expected, the hot tub was great. Also, you pay for what electric you use and considering we had heating on all the time we were surprised we only owed £20 for the weekend. Host was more than welcoming and even brought home made scones on the first morning.

We booked this rather last minute and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The cottage was perfect to shut off from everyday life and actually relax. It was well equipped, clean and beautiful. The owner, Bob, was really friendly and helpful. It was one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in and cannot score it less than 10 across the board. We shall definitely be returning and for a much longer stay next time.

Dalvanie Mill is a delightful property enjoying the feel of a remote location whilst still being within a reasonable distance from the facilities of Blairgowrie. The property has obviously been developed and enhanced over many years and a little more work would benefit it in the future, but for our family party this added to the charm of the property and we found everything more than satisfactory. The lack of internet and reliable mobile phone coverage was, for us, a benefit although some may find it more of a problem.
