We spent an enjoyable Christmas at Daisy Cottage - it is very homely and comfortable. The owners were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. It is an ideal base for dog walking, as surrounded by countryside. Also not far from Chipping Sodbury and Bristol. We have booked again for later this year.

We were greeted by a warm and friendly received the key. This was a wedding anniversary get away tied in with seeing my daughter. The overall experience from start to finish was wonderful. The location while seeming quite rural is close to the town of Chipping Sodbury and gives easy access to the major towns of Bristol and Swindon. A most enjoyable stay I would highly recommend the owners are both warm, friendly and helpful the cottage all be it within the farm grounds is enclosed and feels like a separate property.

Lovely cottage attached to a smell free farm, very helpful owners on site. Cottage is situated down a lane so have the peace and quiet of country side, but lane attaches to main Chipping Sodbury bypass which leads to main shopping area and easy access to Bristol and Bath. Very comfy beds and good TV receiption.

Had a good week at Daisy Cottage. The property was clean and warm. It is well located with Bath and Bristol both being within easy reach. Great location for dog owners and walkers as there are footpaths and the common accessible just down the lane.

Staying in this cottage was no holiday. The miniscule kitchen area had to be cleaned before I could use it, as it was covered in grease including the pans in the cupboard and the cooker hood dripped grease and had an unpleasant smell. Most of the appliances were in a bad state and need replacing as were most cooking tools. The kitchen lighting was dangerously low ... a torch was needed to read the settings on the cooker and there was a loose mat in front of the cooker, which as well as being dangerous was absolutely filthy. Cooking was a nightmare in these conditions. When I choose to self cater I expect to be able to cook. There was no lighting bright enough anywhere to read by and the only comfortable furniture was the beds. The only ventilation in the main bedroom came from a gap where the French doors did not meet! The wardrobe in this room was filled with cleaning equipment, so left little space for clothes. The cottage looks very pretty and has good parking.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the owner: I am sorry you found the kitchen cleanliness not up to standard. We pride ourselves on keeping the property clean, and if any customers have any problems or questions, they only need to contact us and we will endeavour to put them right. It also transpired that a bulb had been replaced with a lower wattage than usual, but this has now been replaced with a stronger bulb. There was a problem with gapping in the wooden patio doors, but this has now been sorted out by a carpenter. I’m sure we could have improved your stay if you would have let us know you had these problems.
