The cottage is very spacious and clean. It's also in a good location, being about 10 minutes drive to Charmouth and is situated in the beautiful village of Wootton Fitzpaine. However, the mattresses need to be replaced and the shower head in the downstairs bathroom needs a new one. These are issues that have been ongoing for a while judging from the guest book in the cottage. The upstairs bathroom has a shower fed from the taps which results in either a very hot or cold spray coming out of the shower head. A new shower head is an easy thing to fix and would make a huge difference to the downstairs shower.

We all had a great time at stable cottage. Great location, beautiful cottage, great amenities, lovely walks over the fields, friendly owners. Our 16 month old daughter loved their dog Harvey. Would highly recommended.

Had a lovely week at Stable Cottage. Accomodation excellent. Would stay again. Loved watching tractors busy. It is a working farm. Recommend lounge carpet shampooed. A few stains. Also the showers were not great but we coped. Would take a blackout blind for kids in summer. Very light. The bin in front kept overflowing and raided by animals. We cleared it up but back again next day. B b q good. Laundry looks good but didnt need. Lovely holiday. Weather very kind to us.

This was our second stay at Stable Cottage. As a family of 4, a family of 3 and Grandad the accommodation layout works really well for us. The location is quiet, but a short easy drive to local amenities, although there is reportedly a pub 1 mile from the cottage it is in fact a lot further and very hard to find! Great days out can be had in Charmouth itself on the beach, Lyme Regis, West Bay (where Broadchurch was filmed), Sidmoth Donkey Sanctuary, Seaton tram and if you don't mind travelling further afield, Weymouth and Portland Bill are worth a visit too. The cottage itself, this year we felt wasn't comfortable. Although it has clearly had a repaint over the winter, they have replaced the curtains in all bedrooms with blinds that unfortunately, are not lined/blackout and therefore the rooms are light from very early in the morning. The mattress on the double bed in the main 4 person room really needs replacing. Its so soft that if you have two people sleeping in it of different weight then one rolls towards the other! Finally, some of the kitchen utensils need replacing. Some had missing handles which made them unsafe.
