Stable cottage has huge potential. It's big and well equipped. However, when we arrived for our October half term week the place smelt really damp and the place was really really cold. It's a shame the owners had not lit a fire or put the heating on for a couple of days before our arrival.

Lovely spacious cottage, with a cosy log burner and big sofas to curl up on in front of the fire. Quiet location, right in the country, really relaxing. Would visit again. Only one down side was no phone signal and no wifi!

Overall we enjoyed our 2 week stay, but there are a few issues I feel it necessary to point out. . The shower can only be described as useless. The head was so blocked that the water flow was a mere trickle. We actually decided to buy another head in order to have a decent shower. . The so called patio is disappointingly a picnic table in the corner of the car park! . The pub and shop are NOT within walking distance. They are a 10-15 minute drive away. The owners don't seem to be concerned about these issues judging from similar comments mentioned in the visitors book over the last few years. It was a clean cottage but could easily be so much better.

First the positives: Good spacious house Love the location Close to the sea side, (10 min drive, or an hour walk according to Google) Good size BBQ Mattresses are new Meter is generous in the summer, but bring £1 coins. Negatives: Mattresses are new but bed frame makes the bed really uncomfortable. PUB NOT WITHIN A MILE!!!!! took us 30 mins to walk there down hill, but there is a path to it. Shower is weak Parking can be a pain if others are not considerate Overall we had a great stay for how much it costs.
