Located just minutes from the centre of Stratford this attached property would make an excellent holiday base for exploring this fascinating town with all its Shakespeare associations. As well as literary connections there is much to see and do in and around the town, with historic buildings and lovely gardens dotted throughout the centre among the black and white timber framed buildings. Boats may be hired for the day on the Stratford canal while Stratford racecourse offers a programme of 14 meetings a year. Of course the RSC has productions throughout the year.

    Great location within walking distance of the town centre. It is a real home from home with all facilities and WiFi. Parking at rear means you don't need to worry about paying for parking. Mr Nash the proprietor met us there and gave us a really useful run down on the local attractions .My family and I had a great weekend and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Cymbelline again.

    It said would fit 4 people. So my husband and myself took our 2 teenage boys. Double bed room ok but second room had a single bed and a pull out bed under it. We managed for the week and really enjoyed ourselves. Convenience to attractions was second to none. 2 minutes walk to Shakespeare's Church. Only a few minutes walk into the rest of Stratford. It was a comfortable house. The owner and housekeeper were very accommodating when I spoke to them. I would recommend this house to a family with smaller children but we did have a great time.

    The location of the house is excellent a fairly short walk to the river and to the centre of Stratford, the parking was an added bonus. Although the house was reasonably comfortable it was unclean. The carpets didn't look like they'd been cleaned and there were cobwebs and dust throughout. The fridge was dirty and the bath had soap marks on the rim. There are a number of things which in our opinion need to be updated; the TV is ancient, the bathroom looks old, the shower rail is hanging off the wall and the bathroom floor looks old and dirty. The towels provided were washed out and old. We found someone else's clothes in one of the drawers. The second bedroom has a roll out bed which you can't get out because of the other furniture in the room. It's a shame because if the property and facilities were upgraded this could be a really nice rental property.

    This was our second stay but the property has deteriorated since our previous visit. This was particularly evident in the cleanliness of the property, there were cobwebs in the bathroom, bedroom and above the stairs. The bathroom bin hadn't been emptied and there was an empty contact lens container on the floor. There were also items under one of the lamp tables, a crumpled cake foil and a top off an aerosol can. The cutlery and crockery were also in need of a wash, overall there was little evidence of the property being cleaned before our arrival. On the first night it was cold as a radiator wasn't working but the owners were very helpful and provided an additional heater the next day. The internet connection was good and allowed us to stream films but the television wasn't HD. Allocated off road parking is a bonus and everything in Stratford is within walking distance. With a little TLC this would be a very good holiday rental.

    A block of foam for the mattress on the double bed is unsatisfactory. The kitchen needed some cleaning too. But it was warm and the hot water was reliable after the plumber had removed an air block in the pipes.

    Cymbeline is in an ideal location for all the attractions of Statford, especially the theatres. It is compact but clean and is well appointed with a washing machine and large fridge-freezer. The decor is modern and the cottage is warm. The back garden is a bonus and the beds are comfortable. It has an upstairs bathroom containing a bath with a shower over it, useful for washing your hair! I would recommend it for couples or families with one child.
