Very comfortably furnished and well equipped. Ceres is a charming village and a great base for exploring the Fife coast.

Spacious accommodation with all modern facilities and enclosed garden. Very comfortable indeed with very welcoming nearby owners. Despite unseasonably cold weather (an inch of snow at the end of April) we had a great time exploring Fife. Recommended eating place: The Boudin Gate in Cupar. Excellent food grub, good beer and friendly. The old gaol in Cupar is a good runner-up.

We are two couples who have visited the Fife area for the past 23 years so have stayed in numerous holiday homes over the years, Curlew Cottage was by far one of the best. We were very impressed with the comfort and homeliness so much so that we have rebooked for next year.

A lovely cottage, well-equipped, in a peaceful spot, and very close to a great restaurant, the Meldrums hotel.

The cottage was lovely, set in a beautiful little village, conveniently close to St. Andrews and the coastal villages of Crail, Anstruther etc. The cottage was clean, warm, well equipped, well furnished and the beds were comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and shown around the cottage on arrival and the owners kindly provided us with a fresh pint of milk, a bottle of wine and some samples of locally produced jams and marmalades. A minor problem for some might be the poor and intermittent Wi-Fi connection but that could just be a result of a rural location. We went 'old school' and planned outings with guide books (how quaint!). We were unlucky that the village café and pub were both closed for the majority of our week but the hotel, adjacent to the cottage, was open and served really excellent food on the two evenings when we dined there. Worth a visit. Overall, I would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage, and the village, as a great place to go for a family holiday or a relaxing break.

lovely cottage and helpful owners. We all felt very much at home and would definitely like to stay ther again. Just 2small points to consider - fridge is very small ,could do with a much bigger one. The mattresses on beds were hard and uncomfortable.
