Our 7th visit - very peaceful and beautiful. A warm cottage despite the hail, snow and gales outside. Beautiful scenery and superb wildlife on the doorstep.

Not often you find a cottage that is actually better than it looks on the website. Stunning views! Lots of space for us (6), well kitted out, great multifuel stove it sitting room. One dining room as well, but we did need it. Spent Xmas 17 at Cumpston & it fantastic.

We really enjoyed our stay. This is an idilic location but be prepared to access the farm house via a track which is steep. The dishwasher kept tripping the electrics but an electrician did visit.
