English Country Cottages

An inspiring collection of properties chosen for their character, luxury and heritage, all graded 4 star and above.

A pretty pet-friendly ’chocolate box’ cottage in a peaceful location yet only a short walk from the centre of Broadway.

This pretty, thatched holiday cottage with far reaching views is located just 400 yards from the heart of beautiful Broadway. One of a pair, built in the 15th century, this half-timbered property has undergone total renovation to provide a modern, up-to-date interior and has a peaceful cottage garden in which to relax after a busy day’s sightseeing. The village of Broadway is often called the ‘showpiece’ of the Cotswolds and there are many visitors who come to its broad, green-verged street to admire its attractive rows of old stone cottages with their bow windows and stone-tiled roofs. A fascinating area with many NT properties and internationally famous gardens, such as Hidcote Manor and Kiftsgate Court. Shops 400 yards, pubs 0.3 mile.

Living/dining room/conservatory with wood-burning stove and French doors. Farmhouse-style kitchen. Beams and flagstone tiled floor throughout. Separate toilet. Turning stairs to first floor: Beamed double bedroom with built-in wardrobes and sloping ceiling. Twin bedroom. Bathroom with over-bath power shower and toilet.

Beautiful cottage and surroundings only thing missing was a barbecue but I guess as a thatch that may be reason? Lovely town with everything you need on doorstep.

We've stayed at Cruck Cottage 4 times now and we just love the location and the comfort and character of the cottage. There are some lovely places to eat and drink within a short walk. The cottage itself is so full of character and, since the refurb a few years ago, is very comfortable. The log burner is lovely on a cold evening and everything you could need is provided. It's really become our home from home. I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful cottage in a spectacular location Small but perfectly formed and a very pretty enclosed garden which was perfect. Walking distance to village centre and local pubs and restaurants and moments from the famous Cotswold Way

Had a lovely time, wonderful cottage a lot of history, lovely garden for dog well planned out and very safe for them, wonderfully log fire to make it nice and cosy to cuddle up on the sofa, not to far from the village, and lovely local pub.

This cottage is a wonderful, cosy, peaceful, attractive home for a week and our young Labrador loved it, especially the large enclosed garden. Fantastic area for walking and sightseeing and we look forward to returning.

There was an issue with the cooker not working which we reported when we left so hopefully that would be resolved. Otherwise we had a good week and the location was very good with easy access to Broadway as well as other places around. A little expensive but that would be the location so I accept that.

Perfect for a couple with a small baby . If you are too tall you will definitely bang your head on the low beams! The owner Amanda was wonderful. Overall we would stay there again !!
