Beautiful cottage, very warm.lovely coal fire and raeburn oven.fantastic location, stunning views. One of double beds had a uncomfortable mattress and not enough kitchen utensils but that’s all we can complain about. All the family felt it was a lovely place for a holiday.

This was our second stay at Crown Gardens, when we stayed there last the pub opposite was open which done great food, however this time it was closed so we used the pub around the corner which also served good food and was welcoming. The difference in the house this time was the water heating system, a large tank has been moved to a cupboard in the main bedroom which was very noisy and kept not only the occupants in the main bedroom awake but was loud enough to affect people in the other bedrooms. Otherwise everything is fine, it is a spacious cottage and well appointed, if a little warm due to the Rayburn on permanently in the kitchen.

The mattresses were very uncomfortable which is the main reason we wouldn't stay here again. Also the sofas are very uncomfortable as well

We stayed at the Crown Gardens as two families with young children. The location in the village is perfect, opposite a hotel which has a bar, and a few steps from the village green with its tea rooms and shops. The Cottage itself is a real home from home. The furniture is all really comfy and looks good. The kitchens well stocked. There is also wifi which is not mentioned in any information packs. The rooms are well laid out, and there is a patio set outside.
