Countryside views

This self contained holiday property, the wing of a cottage, has been furnished with style and flair to ensure a memorable relaxing break. Idyllically situated in an elevated position a short distance from Aboyne, it offers views over the gardens towards the River Dee, where salmon fishing can be arranged. There are extensive grounds with varied birdlife and squirrels which regularly visit. Within walking distance of a pub and restaurant, the house is not far from the village of Aboyne, which has shops and eateries, and in the summer has its own Highland Games – a feature throughout Deeside. Balmoral Castle is well worth a visit and in winter skiing at the Lecht or Glenshee are both easily accessed. Fishing, golf, hill walking, horse riding and even gliding at a nearby club.

All on ground floor: Living room/kitchen. 1 double bedroom. Shower room with toilet.

Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. DVD and small library. Electric cooker. Microwave. Shared laundry facilities. Access to freezer. Shared grounds with patio and furniture. Parking (2 cars). No smoking.

The cottage was in a good location to explore the area eg Balmoral,National Trust properties, Aberdeen. Also good for walking eg Loch Muick. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the wildlife in the garden especially the red sqiurrels.
