Balmoral Castle is well worth a visit and in winter skiing at the Lecht or Glenshee are both easily accessed. Fishing, golf, hill walking, horse riding and even gliding at a nearby club.

A lovely, comfortable, well equipped cottage set in a wonderful garden teeming with wildlife - pheasants, red squirrels, birds.......! We definitely intend to return.

The cottage was simply gorgeous. My wife and I were delighted to be there. It provided every comfort. I can't praise it too highly.

Croiscrag Cottage was comfortable and had every thing we wanted and it was in the right location, however it was very dark in the living room, artificial light was needed all day. Every spare space had ornaments upon it, leaving little room for our own things! This had been mentioned by other people in the visitors book! I counted 17 bird ornaments in the living room alone, it was very crowded. We felt we were living in someone else's home, we stayed ten days instead of two weeks as we also wanted to travel further up into Scotland, so we did not leave early due to the ornaments. The view from the window was brilliant - trees mountains and lots of wildlife, especially red squirrels so we have happy memories of our stay but would not choose that cottage again.
