Perfect cosy base from which to explore Dartmoor with easy access to moor on foot. Fantastic holiday for young family. Cottage had everything we could possibly need. Hosts very helpful 😁

We had a lovely short break at Crofters Barn and wish we could have stayed longer. The location is very peaceful with lovely walks from the doorstep and although there weren't any local amenities within walking distance you are only a short drive from many attractions in both Devon and Cornwall. The cottage is of a very high standard and extremely comfortable. The only criticism is that the cottage is advertised as having WIFI but it was almost impossible to connect as the signal was so intermittent. This wasn't a problem for us as we had a lovely time playing games and watching films but it may be important to some people.

The barn and grounds were beautiful, it was spotlessly clean and modern, the facilities were excellent, we couldn't have hoped for a nicer place to have as our base camp to go to Buckland Abbey and the Eden project. Check-in was very quick and our hosts gave us total privacy. It was quiet and in beautiful isolated surroundings. I would love to stay again.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage. It is in a very quiet location on the moors which was beautiful. It felt like home as soon as we walked in. You have to watch yr head upstairs as the ceilings are low but that just adds to the atmosphere of the place. You are next door to the owners and share a garden but we never saw them and didn't disturb us at all

Lovely cottage in a great location only criticism is that the fridge needs to be bigger. But overall very clean and loved the shower, watch your heads on the low beams! 😀

We had a lovely stay at Crofters Barn. Welcomed by scones and jam in a beautiful setting. The cottage was well equipped, very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and everything we possibly needed thought out. The Wi-Fi however was a little bit and miss due to the location. Our 4 year old enjoyed meeting Agnes the pot bellied pig and the travel cot was available for our 4 month old. Some nice local pubs/restaurants and supermarkets and other amenities in nearby Tavistock. Had a lovely stay thank you and would recommend.

We spent 4 nights here with a dog and a baby. The cottage was fine and well equipped, if a little small - the rooms in the eves are too low to stand up in which is awkward with a baby. The garden is excellent and fenced - we let the dog roam free, as you probably could with children. Note that the owners house is on the same property, so this isn't a super private cottage. Our only gripe, and it is important, is that the cottage is advertised as having WiFi, but it doesn't really. To get a signal we had to go into the garden near the owners property. There is no phone signal anywhere around.
