We loved the house, could have happily stayed and lived there. Its also in a great spot to explore Northumberland. Seashouses centre is only a 10 mins walk and there you can eat out, get a boat trip to the farne islands or browse some shops.

The cottage is in a perfect place within 10-15 mins walk from Seahouses centre. It was very spacious and the beds were really comfortable. Nice garden, the outside furniture is a little worn. Everything there that we needed. Was very clean apart from a few cobwebs. Great to have utility area and big kitchen to sit in. Enjoyed our family holiday in Northumberland.

Thoroughly enjoyed stay here with family group of 7 including two pensioners, two under 6 and two dogs. Certainly dog friendly but the back garden is not totally secure for dogs as our Scotties had no trouble in getting through to the children's play area, where they were forbidden, and into the next door garden. Mattresses on single beds are not suitable for adults as too thin and uncomfortable. Some of the outdoor furniture was unusable due to rotting wood and unsafe hinges. It really needs replaced. A second shower would be useful when 7 sre using the property.

House is large and well set out and equipped with all amenities required only thing that lets it down is no internet and the tv is out dated unable to connect modern technologies.

Croft House was i am afraid a big disapointment to us ,It should be beautiful but it is in fact very shabby , does anyone check these properties ? Very dated indeed , to say the one tv in the house was digital is only just true we think it must have been the first one off the production line , it only worked when it felt like it , No wifi , very little mobile phone reception. The enclosed garden was anything but , there were large holes in the in the hedge and no gates where there should have been , which made life for our two dogs very difficult , and costly for us as we had to buy long leads and something to tie them to. To make it worse we had booked for 2 weeks , i stood it as long as i could but we left in the middle of the second week , will not be going there again.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments. The Letting Agency has been consulted and has confirmed that the property is not advertised or promoted as having Wi-Fi or the garden as being ‘enclosed’. Furthermore, the Letting Agency representative checked the property at the beginning of the letting calendar and all was considered in order as described. The TV in this and adjoining cottages is maintained by a neighbour, a retired TV engineer – perhaps operator fault on this occasion? Nonetheless, this will be looked into and, if the TV is found to be faulty, it will be replaced. It is acknowledged that the property does not ooze modern technology but, unless mistaken, mobile phone reception is the responsibility of service providers; it was not something that was considered when the property was built (having two-feet thick stone walls) in the 16th century. A little paint may be peeling here and there on the original lathe and plaster ceiling and a spider or two hiding in the cracks of the stone walls may be present but, if these characteristics are not acceptable, then perhaps a modern property would be more suitable for your needs.

We had a lovely time at Croft House, great location for getting around and seeing beautiful Northumberland. We thought that the livingroom furniture and garden furniture could do with a revamp, but would definitely stay again, everything there for your stay.

The house is spacious and clean. 3 bathrooms is a bonus... a 15 min walk to all amenities. Love Seahouses. Would seriously recommend they invest in wifi. There is very little phone reception making things like watching Netflix very hard.
