Lovely cottage in a great little village with plenty of pubs and a good bakery cafe. Handy for walks and central in the Dales. The double bed is a metal frame and creaks so if you're a light sleeper wouldn't advise staying here. Obviously this is not a problem for everyone! We did find dirty dishes in the dishwasher on arrival but just an oversight as all else very clean and well equipped.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Many thanks for staying with us and we are pleased you enjoyed the cottage and the area. We are sorry that you found dirty dishes in the dishwasher, (as you pointed out an oversight) however we will take particular care to check the machine in the future. The double bed has since been replaced by a larger king size bed, without any squeaks! Thanks for your feedback, it is valued. We are so pleased that you found everything else to your liking.

It's a really nice cottage with a amazing, breathtaking countryside. We met a welcoming food basket and very friendly and be concerned owners. Free laundry service is offered, nevertheless we missed a washing machine. Recommendable cottage.

Our second visit to this property, just as enjoyable as the first. Weather not quite so good but compensated by the river flows and waterfalls. Lovely walks, managed to find plenty of tea rooms for refreshments. Lovely new deli (Humble Pie) in Ashrigg itself. Cottage very comfortable and very well situated for walks around the local area.
