No internet or mobile phone available for at least 4miles made it awkward to keep in touch with my elderly mother. We liked the place and surrounding area a lot but don't go if you don't like driving on single track unlit country lanes surrounded by high hedges or steep drops, also, if anyone in the family is noise sensitive as every floorboard squeeks -all the upstairs- and door latches make loud clicking noises. Downstairs the floor is slate throughout, we didn't drop any crockery but if you did it would be in bits. On saying this, if you love the outdoors there are plenty of walks you can go on, all of which are well documented in the local guide books, it is a lovely cottage in a beautiful setting, and I would seriously consider going there again -now that I know it's little quirks, although whether it will be available next year I don't know as the owner could be selling it.

Really nice place, will definitely return. Only very minor thing was that the key designated for the patio doors (in the living room) didn't actually open them. Not sure why.
