This delightful, first and second floor holiday apartment is situated in the pretty town of Callander, the gateway to the Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park. This bustling Highland town, set amongst hills and lochs, is a wonderful base from which to discover the surrounding area of this beautiful part of central Scotland. There are endless miles of forest roads and trails to explore, both for walking and cycling. The Sustrans National Cycle Route runs through the town itself on the disused Callander to Oban railway line. The Trossachs have spectacular mountains to climb, such as Ben Lomond, Ben A’an, Ben Venue and Ben Ledi. There is an abundance of wildlife to spot, including ospreys, red squirrels and pine martens to name but a few. There are numerous activities for every age and interest; from horse riding to watersports. From your front door, you can walk to a variety of shops, tea rooms and bars. Within easy driving distance are Loch Lomond, Gleneagles, 30 minutes, Stirling, 20 minutes and Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth, 1 hour. Ideal for fishing and golf, with the nearest course within walking distance of the property. Shop, pub and restaurant 30 yards.

    Lovely warm house in beautiful Callander. I know it really shouldn't be important but the internet connection was outstanding! Pub across the road, Italian restaurant almost next door and a Coop store just up from that. Only used the double room and bed was a comfortable as they come.

    I probably did not read the the description of the property properly so it was probably my own fault that we were expecting a cottage rather than an apartment. Having said that the property was well apppointed and spotlessly clean. The landlady was very pleasant too. We had looked forward to some good meals in the local restaurants but with the exception of 'Ciros' a couple of doors away we were disappointed. It was 'off season' and it showed by the use of frozen veg etc almost every where we tried.

After your kind remarks about our property, I was surprised you only awarded an overall score of 5. On the market, Crags View is very competitively priced. Callander itself has a variety of eating places catering for all tastes and budgets....I can’t imagine you were able to sample them all. Perhaps we will see you once again in the future.

    Had a lovely week with my wife, kids and 6mths puppy, accommodation was spot on, the owners of the flat were lovely.

    The cottage was very clean and tidy with very comfortable beds. Having a designated parking place was ideal as it would be difficult to find a parking place. There was a lot of stairs however...which was stated before booking....but this could be a real problem for anyone with a disability. The weather curtailed our plans quite a bit so it became less enjoyable for us.
