Description

Crabapple Peace is a traditional stone-built cottage, with beams and inglenook fireplace with multi-fuel stove, walking and cycling nearby.

Set in the heart of rural Shropshire, Crabapple Peace is a traditional stone-built cottage and is the ideal base for touring and exploring this delightful corner of England. Standing detached, the cottage has been sympathetically renovated and provides modern facilities yet has retained a feeling of an ‘olde-world’ cottage, with a multi-fuel stove within an inglenook fireplace. Beamed living/dining room with wood-burning stove in inglenook fireplace, and sofa-bed (alternative sleeping only). Galley-style fitted kitchen. Separate toilet. Original winding stairs to first floor: Double bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet.

Lovely cottage, warm and cozy. Owners also! Fire was lit on arrival and bottle of wine on table (thank you!). Only thing I could say is that until I'd booked and paid I didn't know it was in the garden of the owners- so not as secluded as I was looking for originally. However at no point did this spoil our weekend but it would have put me off initially booking it. Also would have loved to have a more flexible leaving time the Sunday. To clean & tidy the cottage, pack our stuff away and vacate by 10 am meant an early wake up. Although if I'd asked Dee she may well have agreed to us staying until 11- I didn't like to ask.

Lovely, clean little cottage. Wood burning fire alight on arrival. Interesting walks. Advise having car and map of local area.

The cottage was really full of character, and in a lovely location. The countryside is beautiful, and there are plenty of lovely walks to do. The owners were really friendly, and the welcoming bottle of wine and biscuits was a lovely touch. I would recommend this to any couple who want a quiet retreat that is close to nature yet within access of nearby towns.

It was a great place for us to unwind, very quiet, no busy roads nearby, lots of birdsong. I really liked the way the interior was decorated. The kitchen was well equipped and it was easy to cook a meal there. We love walking and the location was ideal as there were footpaths starting just a few yards away. The owners were friendly and approachable.

A beautiful cottage lovingly looked after by very friendly owners, tucked away yet close enough to the main attractions of South Shropshire. The cottage is to die for. We felt totally at home all our stay, the cosy sofa, the roaring log stove, breakfast in the kitchen overlooking lambs in the fields, the sound of the owl at night....everything was just right. Would definately recommend.
