It was a really relaxing stay. The cottage is really well equipped and felt very homely. Having the grounds of Claydon House to walk in was great.

Lovely cottage that was comfortable and well equipped. The living area was very warm but the bathroom and toilet less so (and slightly inconvenient at the other end of the property from the bedrooms). The private garden would be lovely in summer. The nearest shops/pub are about two miles away.

Loved staying at a National Trust property: it was peaceful and private. Location is great for visiting Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire sights. Cottage is well furnished. However, internet is non-existent, and I had to work online during the trip. It took 5+ minutes to load a page if it loaded at all. I tried an ethernet cable for direct plug in to no avail. There's no mobile reception in the area either, so I couldn't even use my phone as a wifi hotspot. We ended up driving some miles away and sitting in a layby to have online meetings and do online work. So, if you don't need connectivity, the cottage is perfect; if you need to be online, try elsewhere.

A fantastic location for a relaxing holiday , close to lots of interesting places to visit. Some great places to eat locally especially the old thatched inn. All the staff very friendly and helpful.

Lovely setting, clean and well equipped, very accommodating to our needs. It would have been nice to have entry to the gardens included, but was a lovely comfortable stay.

It was a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. There was plenty to see and do in the surrounding area although the nearest shops were a bit of a drive away - you definitely need a car. The attached stately home and grounds were fascinating to visit. Although not a problem for us, for younger people relying on their mobiles etc. there was no signal unless you went quite a way away from the cottage to get one - a good excuse to leave it behind and enjoy the surroundings if ever there was one! It wasn't the cheapest cottage on the market but the quality shone through and we were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A very good conversion of a portion of a traditional stable block with private sunny walled garden. Light, airy, well-decorated rooms. Very helpful owners who reacted immediately to any problems. Initial disappointment with the accident to the first carpet we saw (to be replaced as soon as bookings allow) soon overcome by other plus points.
