Absolutely fabulous! We all loved Court Place and didn't want to leave. As other reviewers have said, the photos really don't do it justice; the entrance hall is stunning and the lounge and dining room so much bigger than they look on the website. I felt as though I should have taken my DVD of Pride & Prejudice with me, when I opened the french doors from the lounge to the gardens! Perfect for all ages, great space indoors and out. The location is just lovely, with so many walks close by and it is unbelievable that you are so close to the village of Porlock (nice pubs, tea rooms, artisan shops, grocers, a butchers, cash point, free entrance museum, to name just some of it's attributes), yet Court Place is so peaceful. The view at night with the lights twinkling out at sea and over the village is enchanting. The house sleeps 11 people comfortably; the twin room on the 1st floor being the smallest bedroom. The new bedroom on the 2nd floor is so spacious, with sea views, a sofa and a really comfy bed (can be twin or king-size). The stairs are fairly steep to this room though and a small rail/handle at the top of the staircase would be helpful. The tenant caretakers next door are helpful and friendly. Thank you for taking care of Court Place so well and we very much hope to return soon.

Had a lovely week here, the pictures dont do it justice. Its in a huge garden with a view of the sea and or village from every window, and you are a minute's walk from the centre of the village. Beautiful. Only reservations were the intermittent wifi, though it did improve when the owner moved the router so that might be fixed now, and if you were a larger group then 2 bathrooms might be a bit limiting, but we never had more than 6 people at one time. Brilliant week, perfect location for walkers, with varied walks from the door.
