We booked the house to stay in order to meet up with friends who live in Helmsley. Our idea grew into a weekend for six adults plus the two locals. The house is ideal for entertaining. The dining room seats 8 and there is plenty of crockery and cutlery for a full dinner party and the dishwasher helped a treat. The house is full of original features. Even though there is only one toilet and separate bathroom we managed for one night.

A lovely quiet, clean, comfortable and cosy house, set just outside the village square. This house was really nice, close to all local amenities, so didn't need to use the car all the time. The gardens are large, perfect for our grand children to run and play or for us to sit outside when the weather permitted. Well equipped with plenty of room. Helmsley is a beautiful little town with lots to do during our stay. The Birds of Prey at Duncombe estate is a must for visitors to the area, as is Helmsley Castle and Rievaulx Abbey. A wonderful part of England to visit.

A lovely house tucked away in the village of Helmsley , in its own grounds, which affords much privacy. Would come again as there is plenty to do in the area, and the house and grounds are great.
