Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

After a busy day spent exploring the Pembrokshire coast, curl up in front of the woodburner with a glass of wine or relax in the hot tub.

These beautifully renovated detached Welsh barns, Ty Llo (ref W43266) and Coal House (ref W43267), stand a few yards apart, and a small terraced row of three (300 yards from the barns), comprising Wyth-y-Nant (ref W42214) and Hawton (ref W41830), both end terraced properties, and Coeden Afal (ref W41764), the mid terraced property, are all situated on Carmarthen Bay in the coastal setting between Ferryside and Kidwelly. Tastefully decorated throughout, each bursts with character including original stone walls and beams. Close to the historic castle at Kidwelly and just a short drive to Carmarthen. Beaches at Ferryside, Pembrey and Llanstephan are all within easy driving distance. Enjoy a day at Fos Las racecourse, only a 15-minute drive. The holiday cottages provide an ideal location from which to enjoy the sandy beaches of Pembrokeshire and the Gower, the latter renowned for being Britain’s first AONB. Spend your days exploring the historic town of Laugharne, famously known for the iconic boathouse of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, and visit the castle and traditional Welsh pubs where fresh fish is always on the menu. Don’t miss a visit to the National Botanical Garden of Wales and Aberglasney Gardens. Golf, riding, fishing and water sports nearby. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 0.75 miles.

Great holiday here in Coeden Afal. Fantastic accomodation. Clean and full of amenities. Only one point to mention is that while they accept dogs, they are not allowed to be left unattended. This made days out a little more challenging with wet weather and a small toddler in tow. Other than that, would highly recommend. Especially enjoyed the hot tub

I was totally charmed by this cottage, we usually book a detached property but the walls are so thick we didn't really hear the neighbours, I loved the window seats and the cosy living room. The hot tub was the reason we booked the cottage and was definitely a bonus at the end of long days out walking.

We had a lovely break at Coeden Afal. The mid property was slightly unusual a booking for us. But for the money it worked out great as neither of the properties either side where occupied. The small courtyard with hot tub was relaxing and the front garden cosy, we even did some pruning :) We loved the walk down to the beach at least on or twice a day, we travelled around the coast and went to visit some of the wrecks. The only issues we found was the lane down to the beach was littered with garden rubbish and a large amount of dog mess. With some tlc and making sure owners clean up behind their pets, the place could be wonderful.

Very clean, spacious, well decorated cottage. Very comfy beds. The hot tub was great, but the water was overdue a change. The roads to the cottage are single track with passing places, lots of close shaves with wing mirrors. The short walk to the beach was flooded, so it was a 15 minute walk or a drive. Great secure gardens front and rear for the dogs.
