Really enjoyed staying in this lovely little cottage. The location was perfect for our 2 year old who enjoyed feeding the ducks and swans just outside the front door. Very convenient for travelling to the centre of Edinburgh just a bus journey of 30 minutes. I would recommend walking to Cramond Island during low tide and the walk down the river is also beautiful. Welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, bread, spread and eggs was a lovely touch and during our visit we had a problem with the kettle and the owner brought a replacement straight round. Would definitely be interested in staying in this cottage on another visit to Edinburgh.

I stayed here with my partner and 10 month old daughter. Everything in the cottage matched the pictures exactly, we settled in well to this cosy cottage, it was like a home away from home. The owner dropped in milk, butter, bread and eggs, which was a nice touch. A beautiful view just outside the front windows/door on to the sea! I wish I had stayed here longer, I would definitely stay again and have recommended to friends/family. There is a lovely bistro just next door and a pub with three roaring fireplaces serving food just 3 minutes walk from the cottage. We rented a car, so Edinburgh city centre was just a 15 minute drive away.

Comfortable, tastefully decorated, cosy cottage in an Amazing location overlooking the river/estuary. Access to beautiful and relatively easy walks left and right from the cottage with a quirky pub just around the corner.

You won't be disappointed booking Cobble Cottage! Arrived at the cottage to be greeted by lovely owner. She gave us brief details and confirmed we could call her anytime if we have any issues. She had also left a "welcome pack" (milk, bread, butter, eggs, juice, etc) for us which was a lovely touch. The location is beautiful. You feel completely cut off from the busy towns and cities yet are only a few streets away from "normal" shops and businesses! Edinburgh is only about 15mins away (I think-we never bothered leaving the Cramond Village area!) There is a lovely café next door and a great little pub up the road-new owners are wonderfully friendly and accommodating. We took our little French Bulldog and she was welcomed everywhere. Speaking of dogs...to say the cottage allows up to 2, you would not be able to tell! Does not smell of dogs at all and is very clean. The cottage is decorated to a high standard and has a nice touch of photos and pictures of Cramond Village and the cottage itself. (It's the little things!) Only things I would consider adding to the cottage to make it "perfect" is a shower basket/rail to store toiletries when using the shower and a dishwasher if space permitted. The cottage is under a main flight path but I can honestly say I didn't hear a plane once! Saw them, but never heard. You can hear people in the neighbouring cottages-mainly walking about upstairs but does not affect your stay or sleep whilst there. I would definitely look to stay at Cobble Cottage again-lovely walks, lovely location, lovely cottage! Thank you for having us! :)
