Description

Fleet Cottage is brilliant for that fun filled family holiday. Take a trip to Weymouth beach or visit Weymouth Golf Course for a great day out!

Located in a charming and secluded environment on the Jurassic and Heritage coastline, Coastline Cottages have been converted to a high specification and are well-equipped with lovely woodburners. Situated 100 yards off the main road, the cottages are set in a quiet location, each with its own patio area and communal garden, within easy walking distance of Chickerell. The lovely Victorian seaside town of Weymouth is a few miles along the coast, where children can enjoy the sandy beach. A day trip to France or the Channel Islands and even a sea fishing trip can be enjoyed, all leaving from the harbour. The RSPB has two reserves nearby - Lodmoor and Radipole Lake, the latter having an information centre as well as nature trails where grebes, swans, warblers and other species of birds may be seen. The swannery at Abbotsbury provides the opportunity to observe the resident colony of mute swans, which has been in existence since the 14th century. From late May, visitors can walk around the nesting area, observing the cygnets at close quarters. Another attraction at Abbotsbury are the sub-tropical gardens, which flourish in a site protected from the cold winds. Here species rare to Britain - such as Japanese camellias and Caucasian Wing Nut tree - can be found. A drive west from the cottages along the coast road is a delight, where the outstanding views and ‘chocolate-box’ villages can be admired. Horse riding, golf and fishing available locally. Shops ¼ mile.

Ground floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen with breakfast bar. Separate toilet. First floor: 3 bedrooms, 1 double with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 twin, 1 single. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

All properties: Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot and highchair. Three TVs. DVDs. CD. Microwave. Dishwasher. Freezer. Wi-fi. Enclosed patio with furniture. Parking. No smoking.

Cottage was nice, rather spoilt by the walls being so thin you could hear everything your neighbours were saying. The large lounge window and patio door is also very overlooked by your neighbours, whos own patio door is right next to yours.

The reason for not wanting go back to the cottage was , my wife and I have problems in climbing stairs and for myself have added issues using a walker . we knowingly knew of this but we were also keen to have a break ,with that in mind we enjoyed our stay there . Friendly folk around us , a calm atmosphere , idyllic you might say . You will not find the same in and around Luton . for any future holiday , it would have to be a bungalow or a hotel with lifts . Again thank you for your hospitality .
