In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

Small families can enjoy visiting sandy beaches and castles from this converted former barn set in woodland grounds.

Shared 17-acre grounds with woodland walks

Lying peacefully down a quiet country lane between the bustling coastal resorts of Pendine and Amroth, these traditional Welsh barns (refs 29463, 30251, 30252, 30521 and 30522) have been restored to a very good standard and make a perfect touring base for couples or families looking for a seaside getaway. Situated on a small holding complex with a small farm shop on-site, the former barns dating back to the 18th century retain much of their original charm and character, with each room having comfortable furnishings and amenities for that unforgettable holiday experience. Coastal Wood Holidays received the highest accolade of Gold at the Carmarthenshire Tourism Awards, as awarded by the Tourism Asociation. These properties are nestled between Amroth beach and Pendine Sands in the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park, with 17 acres of natural grounds and woodland walks, which lead to the spectacular coastal path, where guests can discover the hidden Horseshoe Coves and unblemished tranquil beaches dotted along the coast. The charming village of Amroth is close by, posing a selection of traditional pubs, restaurants, cafes and a sandy beach. Just a stone’s throw away are the picturesque harbour towns of Saundersfoot and Tenby, offering an array of boutique gift shops, art galleries and restaurants with freshly caught fish always on the menu. Explore the off-shore island of Caldey and share the serenity and tranquillity of the Cistercian monks, or take a sea safari along the dramatic coast, cruising close to sea birds, seals and the occasional dolphin. Away from the coast, the rolling countryside is just as promising with its array of traditional market towns dotted around the country including Narberth and Haverfordwest as well as the numerous enchanted sites including Pembroke and Carew Castles. Visit Oakwood, Folly Farm and Bluestone for action packed day out. Dairy Cottage (30523) and The Buttery (30522) have an interconnecting door and can be booked together to sleep 8. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

We had a fantastic break in The Buttery at Coastal Wood Cottages. It was equipped with everything we needed and the added touches were well thought through. The homemade bara brith and Welsh cakes on arrival were delicious and there was also milk in the fridge. The site is beautiful and perfect for adventurous boys! There are rope swings, a play area, and even areas where you can build and light a campfire. The diddy shop and old wood store have everything from popcorn and marshmallows to cook over a campfire, to frozen meals, freshly laid eggs and a wide selection of games and dvds you can borrow. It is run on an 'honesty box' system so you can pay as you go or settle up in leaving. Amroth beach is beautiful, as are many others nearby. Freshwater west was a favourite of ours and was great for body boards. I could go on for ages, but we had a great time and wish we didn't have to leave so would definitely recommend it to others.

Response on behalf of the owner- : Thank you for your lovely review of The Buttery and grading your stay 10/10. It is great to know you had a fantastic time exploring the area and felt at home in the cottage. The woods and meadows are perfect to children to safely explore, play on the swings and even toast marshmallows down basecamp. You found two of our favourite beaches. Amroth beach is the best for sunrises and Freshwater West is amazing for sunsets. We appreciate the time it takes to write a review so thank you. We hope to see you again in the future.

We spent a comfortable week here in total relaxation - although it rained virtually every day we still managed a couple of interesting trips to Colby woods and Laugharne, also visited Picton Castle. Our two Burmese cats thoroughly enjoyed their holiday and found the wet room absolutely fascinating!! The Buttery Cottage is very well equipped for self catering and I took back some good ideas for our own cottage.

We had a lovely week at The Buttery. The cottage is comfortable and clean. The bedding and towels excellent. I missed the "chucks" but Lee promises there will be more. The Diddy Shop is a fabulous facility and where else do you get safe fields dedicated to dog walking.
