This stone built coach house is a sunny, spacious, ground floor holiday apartment with arched windows and a delightful, enclosed, south-facing cottage garden leading off the living room. The property enjoys shared use of an en-tout-cas hard tennis court and a tranquil, beautiful setting on the private estate of Woolston House, a fine Georgian country residence approached by a long estate drive bordered by mature gardens. Nearby are the beaches at Bantham and Bigbury, 7 miles, the sailing village of Salcombe, 9 miles, and Dartmouth and Totnes, 10 miles. There are also a number of golf courses close to the Coach House. Dartmoor National Park and the South Devon Coastal Path are easily accessible. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

    We loved this beautiful little cottage, very clean and tidy well equipped and perfect for a family holiday. I can not think of one bad thing about this property! We will definitely stay again.

    We could smell the damp as soon as we arrived at our flat, not the private and secluded house we were led to believe. Within hours of hanging our clothes in the wardrobe and before we bathed or cooked our clothes were damp, borderline wet. That night we got into a damp borderline wet bed. The owner may try to blame it onto excessive showering, cooking etc, but this is not the cause. The owner needs to sort this problem out before letting again.

    Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your review of our cottage. Whilst we were very concerned to read your comments, we really cannot understand the damp issues you seem to have experienced whilst staying there. You left the property on 16th September and we, the owners, arrived with our family 2 days later on the 18th for a holiday. We did not detect any signs or smells of damp during our 2-week stay, nor did our housekeeper, who changed the bedding directly after your departure on the 16th. By coincidence, Coach House also underwent its annual letting agency inspection on the afternoon of the 16th, and no signs of damp were detected or documented. We would therefore like to reassure our future guests that there is absolutely no inherent damp in the property and we cannot explain why you found your clothing and bedding felt damp. As a matter of form, we do however recommend our guests to ensure adequate ventilation by opening windows etc., particularly when cooking, showering and/or drying clothes. This makes practical sense in such an old building with a combination of very thick walls and modern double glazing. For this reason, we have also fitted a low-pressure fan in the hallway that can maintain constant ventilation throughout the property.

    The flat was spacious and clean if a little dated . Three good sized bedrooms and a very well equipped kitchen . Only one bathroom .
