We did enjoy our stay at the cottage but mostly because of its great location, the fact we could bring our dogs and that it was a welcome break for my husband and I. The cottage itself I felt was not really up to standard. The bathroom had a leaking radiator/towel dryer which had obviously not been looked at (although very noticeable) as there was a pool of rusty water on the floor when we arrived/during our stay. The lack of shower was a little inconvenient too and the bath attachment was hopeless. When we came to use the dishes they were all grubby and the grill had not been cleaned. The cottage could do with a broom and mop. As we were there for a full week with dogs (even just coming in from the beach) we would have liked to be able the quickly sweep the floor. A vacuum was provided but gave off a really awful smell when used. On the email instructions it said to ring the care taker when we arrived, this was also the emergency contact for the cottage. Fortunately we were able to get into the cottage fine but were not able to get in contact with the care taker or get a reply from left messages.
