From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

Set in a fantastic area near to a sandy beach, guests here will enjoy the indoor swimming pool and beautiful garden.

In a fabulous cliff top position, this holiday property is within comfortable walking distance of Mundesley’s gently shelving sandy beach. A spacious family house, Cliff Cottage enjoys its own indoor heated swimming pool (available all year), reached directly from the hall of the house, which boasts a stepped Roman end giving easy access. There is an extensive, fenced garden with large patio area and brick-built barbecue, ideal for outside summer dining. There are wonderful, panoramic sea views from the first floor living room, second bedroom and garden, which extends to within 10 feet of the cliff face. This is a fantastic place for family get-togethers and celebrations with spacious entertaining rooms and comfortable bedrooms. The house lies in the seaside village Mundesley, with its good selection of shops and places to eat and drink. There is a golf course just over 15 minutes’ walk away and horse riding at the edge of the village. Along the coast to the north lie the seaside towns of Cromer, Sheringham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Blakeney, with miles of sandy and pebble beaches, excellent launching facilities for dinghies, windsurfing, waterskiing and good fishing. Cromer, famous for its crabs, has two museums, including the Lifeboat Museum at the pier, and is a wonderful place to potter around and enjoy its range of artisan and traditional seaside shops, cafés and restaurants. There is also the famous end of pier show, a cinema and Amazonia Zoo. The bustling market town of Sheringham boasts over 700 acres of NT parkland and is also the terminus for the North Norfolk Steam Railway which runs inland to the boutique town of Holt. Wells-next-the-Sea is a working harbour with a busy quay and narrow gauge railway, while Blakeney, with its cobbled streets and picturesque fishermen’s cottages, is popular with small boats and offers trips to see the seals; Blakeney Point itself is a nature reserve for birds and seals. To the south lie the Norfolk Broads, with over 200 miles of navigable rivers and waterways winding between miles of windmill-studded marshland, and passing through many pretty Broadland villages. There are also many cycle rental points throughout the area and designated cycle trails. Medieval Norwich, with its imposing Norman castle, is also not to be missed and offers guided walks (including a ghost walk), museums, and great shopping and eating opportunities. Stately homes, NT properties, great market towns and pretty villages to explore, beautiful and bracing walks, gentle cycling routes, and wonderful wildlife and bird watching opportunities make Norfolk a popular repeat destination. There should be a double bedroom downstairs so that you can stay with the dogs and better/more seating as all the comfy chairs are upstairs where the dogs can not go and as we booked it to take our dog's we want to be with them. I do not like the fact that if you go into the garden the house is left open , need a locked side gate. If it was at maximum capacity the fridge is too small.

    Response from: administrator

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. We provide a twin room downstairs which can be turned into a double if required. We feel the seating we provide is to a good standard and I can only apologise that you didn't feel it was comfy enough. In reference to the gate this is safe and has a big bolt on it. I am sorry you were disappointed with the size of the fridge and we are now going to address this issue.

Fantastic house, especially the upstairs rooms. Wonderful pool , great size and good temperature. Well equipped kitchen and great to have a washer and dryer. Very handy for a local shop and a nice stroll into the main town area . Would definitely like to stay again. Great to find such a lovely house that lets doggies stay as well !

Very nice property, well equipped, clean and spacious. Only 'small' niggle was that for a cottage to house so many guests, the fridge freezer was just a little too small!

We booked this cottage for a family get together and 60th birthday. It exceeded all our expectations and we hope to return again in the future. We would certainly recommend it to friends and family. The swimming pool is a real bonus and we used it twice almost every day.

We had an amazing time, the pool was fantastic, the kids were in there most of the time, the view was also amazing, and there was plenty of couches all around the house, the big garden was also a plus, the only thing which I think could do with upgrading is the fridge freezer which we found very very small if your coming with a party of 9 people,

We were a family of nine. Grandparents down to six year old. The pool was fantastic. The whole house ticked all the boxes. The location was great and close to lots of lovely places to visit. We would most definitely return to cliff cottage in the future. The best holiday house we have stayed in over the past thirty years!!!!!
