There is a bridleway directly opposite the barn and this leads guests on a trail through the common – perfect for observing the local wildlife and nature. Wyre Forest National Nature Reserve is only 12 miles away and is a great spot for enjoying a picnic amidst unspoilt countryside and woodland forest. Bodenham Arboretum and Titterstone Clee Hill are both just a short drive away and offer amazing views over three counties and beyond. Although situated opposite the owner’s home, Cleeton Gate Barn is private and secluded and overlooked only by the local sheep. The market town of Cleobury Mortimer is only 5 miles away and offers a plethora of good quality pubs, restaurants and local shops. Guests will find the historic market town of Ludlow just a 15-minute drive away. A must visit location, perched on a cliff above the River Teme, Ludlow is surrounded by unspoilt, hilly countryside of south Shropshire and the Welsh border country known as the Welsh Marches. For guests with an interest in history, Hartlebury Castle and Hanbury Hall are also closely situated, as is the Heritage area of Ironbridge with its famous gorge. Also ideal for small families, guests will find the West Midlands Safari Park less than a 30-minute drive away, where there are plenty of attractions and wild animals for guests of all ages to watch and enjoy. The Severn Valley Steam Railway is also a great treat for families who love the old locomotive steam engines. The historic market town of Bewdley is a 25-minute drive away and is perfect for a spot of afternoon tea by the river and a browse around the quaint shops and museum. The property is surrounded by 8 acres of the owner’s grounds and guests may feel free to amble and browse through the gardens and beyond. This really is a delightful spot! Lovely cottage with helpful owners. The only drawback was that the dog could get out onto the road thru the shubbery

Accessed from a single track lane, this is an excellent, well equipped and spacious cottage set in a beautiful location. The direct access on to the open common was wonderful with walks straight from the garden gate. The courtyard is enclosed and safe for our dog with use of the owner's large garden very useful. We would certainly recommend Cleeton Gate Barn but, as noted by others, the very close proximity of the cattle grid to the bedroom window can be a little dusturbing first thing in the morning.

This is one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. Attention to detail in decoration and cleanliness with lots of the basic provisions to tide us over initially and a lovely bottle of wine. Fresh eggs from their own chickens , warm welcome from owner, but not intrusive, gorgeous clean cottage. We loved seeing the chickens running round and the peacock. Peaceful location, cannot state strongly enough how much much we enjoyed staying there and cannot wait to return for another holiday.

Gorgeous views and a rural setting. You get used to the cattle grid rattling when traffic passes so it added to the rural feel. Everything we needed was available in the cottage so this enabled us to relax and feel at home quickly. Kitchen and bathroom were very modern. Bedroom comfortable and a great base to explore the area.

Very well equipped and spacious accommodation in a beautiful rural setting. Comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom. Very friendly welcome from the owner, who provided a bottle of wine on arrival and some new-laid eggs. Freedom for my dog to roam around the large grounds and he got on well with the owner's two dogs. Nothing at all to complain about and plenty to be happy with.
