There is a choice of renowned golf courses nearby. Enjoy wonderful walking on marked coastal paths on the John Muir Way, an unspoilt beach within 15 minutes’ walk of the cottage, and both sea-fishing and seal-spotting boat trips from Dunbar harbour. Visit the Museum of Flight to see Concorde, or the Seabird Centre to watch puffins nesting on the Bass Rock. Musselburgh Racecourse makes a fun day out, while riding, tennis, cycle hire and indoor swimming are all available in and around Dunbar, 1 mile. The town also offers a range of shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants and the station for the 20-minute rail journey into Edinburgh city centre. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
