We have stayed in this cottage several times and have always enjoyed our time there. Very comfortable and well equipped. Will definitely return in future.

This cottage is in a very good location and easily accessible from the main road. It is not luxurious but is practical apart from the wet room which is too small and too wet! Double bedroom is fine but twin room beds are not suitable for teenagers or adults as too small.

We booked for a week but only stayed 4 nights, the living room seats were very uncomfortable, by this time we both had very bad backache. Also we went when it was quite cold, the living room fire was good when on but as soon as you turned it off it soon got cold. The kitchen was very cold, we used the hoover which was absolutely full of dirt, my partner sorted this out, something you shouldn't be doing on your holidays. The kitchen tops had crumbs on, which I would of thought the cleaner should of sorted, also the utensils hadn't been cleaned properly, this is disappointing when you've been looking forward to a break. The shower was not good, lacking in power, as hard as you tried you couldn't avoid getting water all over the floor, this to me was an accident waiting to happen, also it was hot one minute but then soon went cold, couldn't wait to get back home for a decent shower, and not very pleasant to go back into the bathroom, it was a full mop up each time you had a shower, and took a while to dry, the shower screen was far too close to the door, a curved shower door would of been better. One of the torches wasn't working, although a small thing, the cleaner should be checking things like this, the back of the remote control was missing, this to me is not taking care to make sure everything is in working order. It's a shame when you spend money and don't get the value of your stay, I hate to be so negative but there's no point in me saying any different. I hate to bring this up but after 3 nights I had very itchy legs to the point of bleeding, I can only assume this was the bed, I never get rashes like this, so this was another reason not to stay any longer. So all in all not what we expected, a shame.

Response on behalf of the Owner; I am really sorry to hear that this customer did not like our home in Scotland. Just to note, we did change this customers holiday date to accommodate with their concerns over bad weather. I also encourage all guests to call me if there is any problem with their stay. My cleaner would have gone and helped with heating and any other problems, if I had known.

The collage was very homely and immaculately clean. I booked again so I must have been happy. 😀 It was quite chilly if the heaters weren't on. When I did turn them on the audible alarm on the electric meter guilt-tripped me into switching them off again before it got warm. 🙄 The lights in the bathroom need new bulbs, it's very dark and gloomy in there. You can't really see too well. The blind in the bathroom fell down each morning when I raised it but I found the step ladder so I fixed it quickly enough.

We thought everything was fine except the telly was tiny and the sofa was quite far away . Also the key safe wouldn't lock when we put the key back before we left. Popped a note through the door to that effect.

Very cosy but a little bit too small for 2 adult and 2 teenagers. The children missed Internet, but we knew that before booking. The ASDA supermarket was nearby to walk. The cottage was a good starting point for walking to the beach and other trails. Not much traffic, so we slept very well in the comfortable beds. We also had a lot of fun with the games in the cottage. Cottage had all the equipment we needed such as wasmachine, oven, microwave ect. When you take a shower the whole floor got slippery and wet and it was difficult to get it dry. You have to be tall to open the window in the bathroom ;-)

Very nice cottage well located to be able to discover the surrounding areas. Cottage was comfortable and tidy only downside was the wet room S everything was soaked when using the shower. The garden was nice and will be lovely when works have finished.
