Stunning views from the patio, complimentary wine and chocs on arrival. Clean, warm and comfortable property. The owner was helpful and informative without being intrusive. One of the best places to stay to see Snowdonia and surrounding area.

This lovely cottage was very warm, comfortable and nicely decorated, with a beautiful view over the water to Portmeirion. An ideal base for touring Snowdonia. Mrs Edwards was very friendly and indeed had great knowledge of Snowdonia and the local area. Local shopping at nearby Penrhyndeudraeth.

This is a perfect base to explore north Wales from. It has views of Port Merrion across the bay. The flat itself is warm, cosy and well equipped and we received a lovely welcome from the owner. Would definitely recommend this place.

Very comfortable flat in a delightful setting with stunning views over the estuary. Owner has made sure that there is everything in the flat that you could possible require. A nice touch is the bottle of wine and box of chocolates left to greet you in the kitchen when you arrive. Location very central for visiting this beautiful area.

Wasn't expecting much before we got there. The pictures on the website at time of booking didn't do it justice and at the price point, looked like a comfy bargain basement. But on arrival we totally changed our opinion. Firstly that view. (Loose the tree please). Looking across the estuary in the evening sunshine with wine and chocolate. Sublime. The place has been refurbished since the photos of the property was advertised. We loved everything about it. The surrounding area is breathtaking. My only gripe, and it's such a niggling thing, no WiFi or Internet connection available. Not on my network at least. But that removed a distraction that can spoil an evening watching the sunset and later the local bat colony at play. All in all we loved it.

First time we had done self-catering. Cilgwyn was excellent. Everything was provided. There was an option to take breakfast in another part of the building which we tried one day during our stay and which we would certainly recommend. The only downside is the lack of a reliable mobile phone signal (we are on Orange / EE) or wifi. I suspect other networks provide coverage.
