Wasn't expecting much before we got there. The pictures on the website at time of booking didn't do it justice and at the price point, looked like a comfy bargain basement. But on arrival we totally changed our opinion. Firstly that view. (Loose the tree please). Looking across the estuary in the evening sunshine with wine and chocolate. Sublime. The place has been refurbished since the photos of the property was advertised. We loved everything about it. The surrounding area is breathtaking. My only gripe, and it's such a niggling thing, no WiFi or Internet connection available. Not on my network at least. But that removed a distraction that can spoil an evening watching the sunset and later the local bat colony at play. All in all we loved it.

First time we had done self-catering. Cilgwyn was excellent. Everything was provided. There was an option to take breakfast in another part of the building which we tried one day during our stay and which we would certainly recommend. The only downside is the lack of a reliable mobile phone signal (we are on Orange / EE) or wifi. I suspect other networks provide coverage.

Excellent location for a touring holiday of North Wales.Flat was more than adequate, very comfortable and well appointed. The views from the patio over the estuary to Portmeirion and the Lleyn Peninsula during the morning and in the evening when the sun was setting where beautiful. The owner Mrs Edwards was very friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the local village, no decent facilities.

Very pleasant place to stay, warm and cosy even in November. Views from the cottage very easy on the eye, and seeing Snowdon with snow on the top was in expected extra. Very easy to use as abase to visit the sights of North Wales.
