Close to cycle paths and marked footpaths as well as historic houses and monuments such as Stonehenge.

In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Excellent walking and cycling area

Set in a peaceful rural location on the borders of Dorset and Wiltshire, Whitebridge Farm (refs B4337 and B6844), is not a working farm but is ideal for a family touring holiday with excellent walking and cycling in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Both the South Wiltshire and Dorset cycle ways pass nearby and there are numerous waymarked walks, including the half-hour Shaftesbury town trail, which leads to the famous Gold Hill, with its magnificent views. Many historic houses in the area, including Stourhead (NT). An hour’s drive leads to Salisbury, Bath, Cheddar and Weymouth. Visit Stonehenge, and then the ancient Avebury Stone Circle. Set in 10 acres, the eight cottages, two of which are featured here, are grouped around an attractive grassed courtyard and were once stables for the owner’s impressive farmhouse (built in 1872). Old beams have been retained wherever possible. Many pubs serving food and with outdoor eating/children’s play areas nearby - why not try East Knoyle for starters. Shop and pub within a mile.

All on ground floor: Living room with patio doors/dining room/kitchen. 1 double bedroom (6ft zip and link can be twin beds on request) with en-suite shower room with toilet.

Electric heaters included.

Both properties: Electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot and high chair on request. Electric cooker. Microwave. Patio and furniture. Play area with swings. Parking. No smoking. Pets are welcome (must be kept on a lead at all times).
