These well appointed and attractive detached holiday cottages lie in the village of Kewstoke, only 1.5 miles to a local unspoilt beach at Sandbay and the National Trust headland of Sand Point. They have been renovated and offer a comfortable and peaceful base from which to explore the surrounding countryside and resorts. Only 3 miles to Weston-super-Mare with its long sandy beaches, aquarium, shops and traditional family attractions, and the smaller resorts of Clevedon, Burnham-on-Sea and Brean. With easy access to the M5, it is a short drive to other coastal areas of North Devon and Wales. The surrounding countryside includes the Quantock and Blackdown Hills, and the Somerset levels and moors, providing ample opportunities for walking and cycling. Further afield places to visit include Cheddar Gorge and caves, Wookey Hole, the cities of Bath and Bristol, Glastonbury and Wells. The owners provide a free family ticket to Puxton Park Family Attractions for bookings of 3 nights or longer. Shops, pub and restaurant 1.5 miles.

Ground floor: Living room with patio doors. Dining room/kitchen. 1 double bedroom. Dual sided staircase to first floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 single. Bathroom with shower attachment and toilet.

Travel cot and high chair on request. Fridge/freezer. Enclosed lawned garden with patio, terrace and furniture.

    Basic things such as Handwash, sponge for washing in the kitchen are not provided. The owner said that this is a self-catering house, so these are not provided, which is a bit strange.

    Bit disappointed this time at the cider barn. Bathroom bulb had gone and lamp in small room, no bulbs to replace. Doors in lounge sealed with black tape and fuse kept blowing and cooker not working properly. Would still visit again though if the problems were fixed.

    Beware! This property is in need of a thorough refurbishment to deal with dampness, mould and the general overall appearance! The kitchen and white goods were disgusting!The owner should be made to take notice of previously posted reviews as to the state of general decoration throughout, or what is the point of these reviews. We received no response from the owner or an apology. Many photographs were sent to enhance our complaint as evidence. were exemplary in the way that they dealt with our complaint and offered remuneration, which was accepted. This was a rather upsetting few days, as we have never complained in the past over any accommodation. But we felt it was necessary in this case to warn others what to expect if the owner decides not to improve the property to an acceptable standard.

    no problems with the cottage apart from we think its time to replace the doors and windows they let cold and rain in see you next year

    We loved the cottage both inside and outside with the lovely large garden; but had to drive to the beach as the local roads were very narrow visibility poor due to high hedges with no paths to walk the dog to the beach. I would recommend this cottage. The comments I read before we went, stated old carpets; I can confirm the cottage has new carpets and Wi-Fi also.

    Not very clean cob webs in the corners of the walls housing a migrant of spiders the bedding sheets were stained quite dusty, beds creak like there going to collapse kitchen wall is riddled with damp

    Beatiful cottage in a Beautiful area we realy enjoyed our stay and would definately visit again The only downside was no downstairs loo and no blinds up at the front door we had to improvise by using our wet suits for privacy The highlight was the wonderful Crosville Open top buses that you can pick up at Sand Bay great fun and excellant value for money our Granchildren loved them .

    Very worn decor and general appearence poor, carpet dirty Not changed in 6 yrs since first visit. Doors didn't close without gaps. WiFi great

    We enjoyed our stay in Cider Barn we felt really at home.Its spacious and cosy at the same time especially in the living room where you can sit and look at the countryside.Its very near a beach at Sand Bay which is a lovely place to walk the dog.Its well equipped but more crockery would be helpful especially if more people were staying,there was only two of us. The only small niggle was the property next door which is joined on looked a bit untidy i think there is a long term tenant in there.All in all excellent.
