    Overall great. The owners were very friendly on arrival and kindly allowed us to park at their house over the race weekend when parking would otherwise have been a problem. The only reason we have scored an 8 for comfort and equipment is because we think the lounge would benefit from two sofas and the kitchen could do with a little bit of a makeover (and a washing machine if possible). However, these are only suggestions for improving an already lovely property.

    Excellent location for visiting the sights of the Lake District. Very comfortable stay, bed linen and towels very clean. Kitchen well equipped if you don't want to eat out. Would highly recommend for potential visitors to the area. The owner was very informative of the workings of the property and also the local history and area. No complaints whatsoever. WiFi available, however mobile phone signal for O2 network none existent so please bear this in mind. If you walk to the racecourse about 4 minutes away you can then get a signal. This was our only downside but merely due to our present personal circumstances but would have been happier to have been given this information upfront.

    Excellent location and lovely accommodation! Only slight fault was the power in the shower it kept going cold? But would definitely stay again! And the dog loved it! X
