We had a lovely stay in this cottage. It was light, bright and airy - not dark as some previous reviews said so the cottage must have been decorated. I particularly loved the heated floor in the bathroom and the cosy living room. The location was great. We were a few minutes walk from a park, the river, shops and restaurants. The car park at the rear of the property meant we could always park the car close by and we also used the parking pass in other car parks in the South Lakes. I would have given 10/10 if we'd had a place to hang up our coats, which is a fairly minor point.

Well situated in the town centre, pub two minuets away and cottage is nice and easy to manage what more do you want?, the council car park at the back of the cottage is great but a word of warning, there is a museum car park adjacent to the council car park that closes at 5pm and they lock the gate so be aware.

While the cottage was adequate, and quite charming, I felt the price was too high for the standard. The kitchen was dated, and the dining room floor very worn. The outside courtyards could do with a little attention: there were weeds at the front, and a very plain rear courtyard needed some plants etc to make it more welcoming.
