Lovely cottage. We had a great break. Only downside was that, for an area with no phone signal, it would be better if the property had WiFi.

The accommodation was very satisfactory. Although it was largely warm in the cottage, there were a few occasions when the heating went down and it was hard to warm all the rooms. This however did not spoil our time there. We ate at a local pub and drank at the pub litterally around the corner which was nice. We had taken all our own food which is just as well as our location was very remote. We were informed by a neighbour however that the supermarket was 6 miles away. The whole experience was very enjoyable and we certainly would go again.

Amazing! If you go there take a SatNAV. Deffo remote, but thats exactly what we wanted!

This is an excellent cottage. Extremely well-appointed and very comfortable.High standard of cleanliness. Nearest shop is 1.6 miles away through narrow lanes on outskirts of Beaminster- well stocked Londis store. Well placed to explore West Dorset and South Somerset. TV receives Freesat which gives reasonable range of programmes but no dedicated sport. Slight downside for some (but not us) is that there is no mobile phone reception or internet available at the property. Phone reception OK outside church which is 100 yards up the lane and Wi-Fi at local pub - The New Inn - but we didn't check this ourselves. We did have a meal at the pub which was excellent and reasonably priced but we were disappointed to find that a lot of other customers brought their dogs in and these were kept in the eating area - we didn't go again. Overall this accommodation can be thoroughly recommended.

Lovely, cosy, well kept cottage in a quiet village. The cottage has all you need for a week. The owners left a lovely welcome pack for arrival which was well appreciated. Good pub nearby and lots to do in the area. All approaches to Stoke Abbott are very narrow roads which can be dangerous given the speed some people drive. Also no WiFi or phone signal means you are cut off from the world. Some may think that good but my kids did not.

What a lovely cottage and lovely village. If it was nearer to us (we live in the Netherlands) we would visit it every year.

Lovely place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again and is quite central to a lot of great tourist attractions.

A quaint cottage in a beautiful village. Comfy and clean with good facilities. Nicely decorated with lots of lovely little touches. The only downside was the tiny windy one track roads into the village which could be a bit nerve wracking!
