Church House is a beautiful cottage set in a very quiet rural location. It is very comfortable and contains everything you could need. We were able to enjoy a number of walks straight from the door and the owner has provided maps and books of walks. Stoke Abbott is a tiny village and other than the village pub, which serves good food, you need to drive to Beaminster for anything else. We would definitely consider coming back to stay at Church House again.

Well equipped, everything we needed. Welcome pack and fresh flowers were appreciated. Pub round corner, shop in next village. Lots of places to see and explore but not so easy for limited mobility as very steep hills. WiFi now installed, very useful for planning days out, and we managed to get a mobile signal in the church porch! Would love to stay again with better weather.

Lovely cottage. We had a great break. Only downside was that, for an area with no phone signal, it would be better if the property had WiFi.

The accommodation was very satisfactory. Although it was largely warm in the cottage, there were a few occasions when the heating went down and it was hard to warm all the rooms. This however did not spoil our time there. We ate at a local pub and drank at the pub litterally around the corner which was nice. We had taken all our own food which is just as well as our location was very remote. We were informed by a neighbour however that the supermarket was 6 miles away. The whole experience was very enjoyable and we certainly would go again.

Amazing! If you go there take a SatNAV. Deffo remote, but thats exactly what we wanted!
