This large holiday home is perfect for families for exploring the Caen/Bayeux Normandy region of France. Clean, comfortable with plenty of space and a large garden for children to play in. Supermarkets and amenities a five minute drive away.

A beautiful place, loved every minute here. In response to a previous review: The owners are French and don't speak English but try very hard to make themselves understood. We don't speak a lot of French but between us we got by. I don't expect to go to a foreign country and have locals speak my language - if they do it's a bonus. There is an adult club next door - we did our research before and were aware - but other than hearing an odd music beat, there was no disturbance. We live in the country and are use to silence and yet it didn't bother us! The gate to the house is also locked on an evening so no-one can get in. The house looks exactly as the photos online - it is a traditional French gite - lots of character. The fuse did blow once when we used the washing machine - I had tried to put too much in at the time and it didn't work out. All other times were fine. The fuse was in the same room as the machine so easily rectified. I can't remember all the other complaints from the previous reviewer but all I can say is the price we paid was such a bargain for the house and experience we had.

The cottage is hard to find , next door to a adult private night club which was not explained and on a Friday and Saturday open until 3:30 am , very loud . Lots of strange people knocking about .The owner does not speak any English not even hello very hard to explain things. Washer machine dangerous to use as it blows the fuse , and the hot water is limited .the fuse for the tank is not in the house and the owner was off site for two days so we had no hot water . . The pictures on the website are not a true picture very run down outside , very hard to park cars .steps are dangerous even for adults , bath leaked
