English Country Cottages

From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

Warmington is a hidden treasure, with thatch cottages and Norman church, Althorpe Park and Silverstone are close by.

This renovated barn offers an excellent standard of holiday accommodation, contemporary décor and comprehensive equipment. The conversion fronts a courtyard of historic farm buildings in a secluded, tranquil setting. The properties adjoin the village green and overlook pasture and woodland. The holiday cottages (refs NQ6 and NQ7) can be booked separately or together to accommodate up to 13 guests, and because they are easily accessed from both north and south, they provide an ideal base for sightseeing breaks, holidays and reunions. Warmington is a hidden treasure, with its stone and thatch cottages, duck pond, traditional pub and Norman church. It sits within an AONB under historic Edge Hill and thus provides many local walks and a choice of villages to explore. On the edge of the Cotswolds, it is also close to major attractions such as Warwick Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Althorpe Park, Silverstone, the Royal Agricultural Showground and NEC. There are many NT properties within striking distance; and locally numerous recreational opportunities including riding, golf and fishing. Nearby Banbury offers comprehensive leisure, shopping facilities, twice-weekly market and of course a Fine Lady on a White Horse! Shops 3 miles.

Loved everything about the cottage and it's location. Cherwell had everything we expected and much more.

A beautifully converted cottage which retains a lot of character. Located in a pleasant village, convenient for touring the area. We feel the lack of outside space, other than the small patio area, is a disadvantage.

The cottage provided us with an ideal space to stay for the weekend of my son's wedding, with the number of bathrooms, dine in kitchen and big lounge area. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. The negatives included a sofa bed which didn't function properly, The metal sides were bent and it wouldn't stay flat without lying on it and the mattress was very thin. The sofas felt rather grubby and could do with a clean. We weren't able to get onto the wifi despite several efforts. Most of all though for a five star property we didn't really feel welcome. The various notices around the property were curt and not worded very tactfully. When we have stayed in other self catering properties the owners have gone out of their way to be friendly, often leaving a cake, bottle of wine or biscuits and a few tea bags as a gesture. We didn't see the owners at all whilst we were there which considering they live ( I assume) across the driveway I thought a little strange.
