Description

Spacious detached house for 10 on the banks of the Cleddau Estuary near Pembroke and Haverfordwest

Located in Pembrokeshire’s National Coastal Park, nestled into the western banks of the Cleddau Estuary, this five bedroom, detached retreat abounds with comfort, privacy and water views. Set within half an acre of its own land it offers plenty of space for exuberant children (and adults!) to enjoy and provides the perfect setting to barbecue the catch of the day while staring down at the sparkling waters of the Cleddau and the Preseli Hills beyond. Its long drive way and car port not only provide more than ample parking but offer the opportunity to bring along a boat and trailer; while just a mile down the road, the idyllic old fishing village of Llangwm provides a convenient spot for launching any such vessel. Inside, Cherry Trees offers pristine, spacious and newly renovated accommodation to meet all needs; less mobile guests don’t just benefit from vehicular access to the front door but also a ground floor, double bedroom with en suite facilities. While its two comfortable sitting rooms offer a large family or a group of friends all the ingredients needed for cosy evenings in. With privacy, water views from many of its windows and a high standard of finish throughout, you’d be forgiven for not wanting to leave. However, with The National Geographic recently rating Pembrokeshire as the second best coastal destination in the entire world there’s a wealth of experiences and adventures to be had from the doorstep. On foot from the house, enjoy tranquil woodland walks or amble into the village of Llangwm. Existing since long before the Norman Invasion of 1066, long rows of single storey fisherman’s cottages and its ancient parish church echo its place in history. The Cottage Inn offers a varied menu and a great spot for lunches and evening meals: Events are commonplace too; from live music to vintage car meetings. This pub is the hub of community life; playing its role in the village’s festival fortnight (last week June/first week of July) when people travel from far and wide to marvel at the famous, competing scarecrows. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Spacious family-friendly house with large grounds, and spectacular views over the Cleddau estuary. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The owners live next door and were very helpful and friendly, they even let our children help feed the baby goats! Could have done with WiFi - I know it's meant to be a holiday but we do tend to rely on it these days.

Response on behalf of the Owner; We were very disappointed to read your review following your recent stay at Cherry Trees. There are 10 dining chairs, 8 in the dining room and 2 in the downstairs bedroom. The website clearly shows 2 toilets. The House has a maximum capacity of 10 people - unfortunately, we found that additional guests were staying, over occupying the property therefore breaching the Agency Booking Terms & Conditions.

A comfortable well equipped property in a very pleasant location with lovely views. The layout of the house was ideal for our particular group of 9 aged from 5-96 + a Hamster ! The owner (who lives in an adjoining property) was very friendly and welcoming. There is a large lawned garden ideal for small children. The only negative for one of our group was the lack of Wi Fi which she needed whilst on holiday as she has her own business. On the whole We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the property - very relaxing location. I don't share family photo's on social Media or other sites so sorry no photo's !

We stayed for 4 nights over New Year as a group of 7 (including 3 children) and had a lovely time. The house was comfortable, clean and well-equipped. Heating good and always plenty of hot water. Nice views out to the estuary, which was also great for family walks. Pleasant pub also within walking distance. Convenient for day trips in the car to Tenby and Pembroke Castle, so plenty to do locally. Good supermarkets within easy driving distance.
