The cottage needs updating and was way off the beaten track. All mod cons were very old fashion.

Overall the cottage was clean, warm and extremely comfortable with all facilities and furnishings one could wish for whether just using as a base or for staying in all day if the weather was too bad. The cottage is in a beautiful area of mid Devon, however the only downside is that the cottage itself is quite remote and access is extremely tricky with many miles of single track roads surrounding it with very few passing places when oncoming traffic can be a real problem.

Beautiful cottage that's well maintained set well off the beaten track. If having Wifi and a mobile signal is high on your priority list, then this isn't the cottage for you ! However, if having total peace and quiet is, then look no further. The owners were very helpful and we were greeted on our arrival with a lovely traditional Devon cream tea, they also leave you alone to enjoy your holiday, which was quite important to us. No negative points apart from the Wifi/mobile signal, also a decent SAT NAV is needed, we were still getting ourselves lost finding our way back to the cottage after a week !
