This terraced holiday cottage, brimming with character and with an inglenook fireplace, is set in the heart of the charming village of Sedgefield, which dates back to the 13th century. Believed to exist as a Roman settlement, the 2 mile heritage trail provides a wealth of history. With some good eateries and pubs, the cottage is in an ideal location for exploring the many visitor attractions in north Yorkshire, which is just half an hour away. The open fire, beams and unusual, German-style, wood-burning hot tub are on offer to help you relax after a day exploring. An hour away are Alnwick, with its famous castle used in the Harry Potter films, the Heritage Coast, peppered with castles and golden beaches and York with its beautiful minster. Closer to home, visit Beamish Living Museum, Durham 16 miles or Newcastle 28 miles. Nearby is Hardwick Hall and Park and Sedgefield racecourse. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
