Just a short drive from the northern ports of France, you can experience life in a real French château, with five acres of shared gardens and mature trees together with a lake. The holiday properties have been lovingly restored by their English owners with great attention to detail and are within walking distance of Hesdin with its popular Thursday market, restaurants and bars to enjoy. The properties are ideally placed for exploring the 7 Vallées region with its pretty villages nestling in the valleys, yet under an hour from the lovely sandy beaches of the Côte d’Opale’s seaside resorts including Le Touquet and Hardelot. Enjoy the many summer festivals in the region, browse for bargains at the local brocantes or enjoy lunch and dinner in one of the many restaurants nearby. The area is very popular with walkers, cyclists and canoeists alike with excellent facilities nearby. Dine al fresco on the terrace in front of the château or enjoy a picnic in the grounds.

Had a really great time here, kitchen a little small for amount of people that can stay there so a bigger oven would be helpful. Great location to get to many places including Paris for the day, very relaxing, big roaring fire, would definitely recommend to others and would go back

Spent a truly wonderful week with family and friends. A superb house with fantastic facilities for the price paid. We enjoyed a Murder Mystery evening with the amazing backdrop of the huge feature fireplace and the wistfully eclectic décor. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped and we had no problem in preparing meals for nine adults. The bedrooms were light, airy, comfortable and all en-suite, which was perfect. A gentle 10 minute stroll into town brought us a good selection of shops and restaurants and the market on Thursday morning was huge. The caretakers, Richard and Esther, looked after us very well and have a great knowledge of the local area and attractions.

A fantastic place to stay if you prefer places with character, history and charm to minimalist, modern and sterile. If you have visited an old National Trust property and thought it would be good if you could stay there, and you don't mind the cobwebs, then this is for you. Not a place for crawling infants unless penned-in, but excellent for older humans who want plenty of space to chill out and relax.
