A beautiful family-sized three-storey house in the centre of Whitby, close to all amenities and the colourful harbour.

In the heart of the ancient sea port of Whitby is this traditional Georgian house, refurbished by the owners and retaining many of the original features: high ceilings with ornate coving, cast iron fire surrounds and the original bread oven in the kitchen remains intact. The original stripped wood flooring further enhances the charm and character of this terraced holiday house. It is a short stroll from the colourful harbour and a 3 mile stretch of sandy beach. The cobbled streets, ginnels and alleyways are steeped in history and lined with tumbling little cottages, inns, tea rooms and shops. Join the Ghost Walk for a memorable tour of the town’s historic homes that still remain. Climb the 199 steps to St Mary’s church and the beautiful abbey ruins to experience the breathtaking views of the glorious coastline towards Sandsend. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a day golfing at the 18 hole cliff top golf course. Whitby hosts the 60s festival folk weekend. The Heritage Coast of East Yorkshire is home to quaint little fishing villages and miles of glorious sandy beaches with Scarborough and Filey within a 40 minute drive. On the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park the steam train (Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Express) departs the town throughout the summer season and a memorable journey through the glorious Esk Valley into well known villages of Grosmont and Goathland is a must. For the cycle and walking enthusiasts Dalby Forest is home to the World Cycle Event, and many bridle paths within the national park all lead to pretty little villages just waiting to be discovered. Lovely house and great location. The house sleeps 8 but there was only 6 of us so the living space was just big enough but it would be tight for 8. Lovely fish & chip shop within 60 seconds walk too!

Very well located house for a holiday in Whitby, with comfortable bedrooms and great to have three bathrooms. The sitting room and kitchen are on the small side for 8 people. The two dedicated parking spaces nearby are a real plus.

Very nice property with the real benefit of parking but the absence of a small welcome pack was a disappointment, to arrive and immediately have to go shopping for tea and milk was frustrating. I would also suggest that although the rooms sleep eight, the kitchen and lounge are not so capacious, making it tight for eight adults to cook and eat together, or to all watch TV when the weather is inclement.

Loverly house very close to the centre. No problems with anything at the house.

Great for 2 families as near to main attractions and plenty of bathrooms. It was clean and compact. Although the kitchen was small it had everything we needed and we didn't go away to sit in the kitchen! We would certainly go again.

Whilst the house sleeps 8, this accommodation does not suit 8 downstairs. There is not enough seating in the lounge and the kitchen is not set up for this number either. When 4 people are sitting at the table, the oven and dishwasher can not be opened. Access to the other facilities are compromised even with a couple of people sitting at the table. For a family, this house would be great, however, for 8, it is not suitable.
