This delightful semi-detached conversion from a former chapel has wonderful views across open farmland of the Lakeland Hills and the Solway Firth to the north. With 3 bathrooms, 2 lounges and 6 bedrooms it is a spacious holiday home for 12 people. Decorated and furnished to a good standard, it has many period items of furniture, with all the comforts of home. There is a Blue Flag beach at Allonby, whilst Keswick with all its shops, pubs and restaurants is 15 miles. The pleasant Georgian town of Cockermouth is 5 miles and the National Park with Bassenthwaite lake and the mountains of Blencathra are also within easy reach. Shop, pub 200 yards and restaurant 2 miles.

    Lovely spacious property. Great for our growing party ranging from 2 to 82 yrs. Having 4 wc's and 3 bath/shower rooms is lovely. Nice warm and spacious utility room for our dogs benefits us all. Great to have a large enclosed garden making for a more stress free holiday. Lovely gesture of wine, flowers, chocolates and fruit greeted us on arrival. It had a very well equipped kitchen, two large dinning tables and two sittingrooms . Brilliant value for money as bedding, towels and fuel is included. Although it is a on the edge of the fells it was ideal with beach 4 miles away for children to romp in and get rid of their last bit of energy before bedtime so we get the best of both worlds. We would recommend this cottage to anyone but please don't book the week we want to return. Our 2 yr old granddaughter is asking to go to the castle ( Chapel House) for a walk
